Description

Sint-Mariaburg: historic, green, child-friendly and brimming with character: a beautiful neighbourhood founded by Antoon Van den Weyngaert. The Kapelsesteenweg, or the ´Cassijde wegh naer Cappellen´ is a Roman road. Lots of history, therefore, on this border between Ekeren and Brasschaat, surrounded by many schools and shops. At walking distance from the Van den Weyngaertplein.

You can enter this beautiful piece of listed heritage via Kapelsesteenweg, or via the driveway and gate at the back, on the dead end Van den Weyngaertstraat.

Cosy entrance hall with authentic tiled floor. Stately double door to the sitting room with beautiful bay window and view of the front garden. At the back is the cosy dining room with modern garden room, now doll's room for the daughter of the house. Separate kitchen with plenty of workspace and handy utility room with extra toilet, extra storage space and access to the driveway: very practical for unloading your groceries straight away.

The south-facing garden is always enjoyable. At the outdoor bar with heater, under the wisteria and plane trees or on the gigantic terrace ... here you can sit outside all year round. And plus another fully equipped workshop, currently hobby room.

Authentic staircase leading to the master bedroom, children's room and bathroom with lovely bath and double washbasin. The large, finished attic on the 2nd floor currently serves as a 3rd bedroom/guest room, but here you could possibly create a master bedroom with 2nd bathroom, extra bedroom and/or dressing room.

owner speaks out

'We transformed our garden into a little paradise - it was worth the hernia. Countless fine moments we had with friends and family around our outdoor bar, BBQ and on the lovely terrace. It is a garden full of surprises, where you have sunshine every moment of the day. When we enjoy the setting sun on our terrace with a tea in the evening, we feel like kings. We instantly fell in love with this house, with all its authentic charm. The neighbourhood is top-notch, with a Delhaize five steps from the door, and our neighbours are super nice.'
