Description

Close to local shops, church and town hall, charming village pubs, sports clubs, Clingse Bossen, Stropersbos and the private museum, the Verbeke Foundation. Just a short half-hour drive from Antwerp.

From the street, you can hardly guess that behind the beautiful, historical façade, an oasis of peace and light awaits you. Unique architectural elements, plenty of space and a clever renovation make this property a treat for the eyes.

On the ground floor you will find the elegant entrance hall, artistic workshop, home office, stylish dining room and practical kitchen with professional 6-burner gas cooker and views over the terrace. Here you imagine yourself in the Méditerranée, under the swaying trees with water feature and an adjacent garden.

The stylish staircase takes you to the 1st floor with landing. Here you will find the living room with adjacent office space or playroom. From the living room you step out onto the lovely sun terrace - a great place for that well-earned cocktail. The master bedroom has a large window down to the floor and gives a wonderful view to wake up to. The bathroom is large and timeless, with bath, shower, double sink and separate toilet.

On the 2nd floor a handsome mezzanine and the bedroom area. The 2 children's bedrooms always look tidy thanks to an abundance of built-in cupboards - and even built-in beds.

A particularly large number of windows were integrated during the renovation, making every room feel light & breezy. That feeling is enhanced by the use of interior glass doors, a skylight and glass tiles on the top floor.

Next to the house we have another studio which we rent out to the clothing shop across the street for €640 a month.

owner speaks out

We had been looking for a long time for a house in a quiet neighbourhood with plenty of greenery, but which was not too remote at the same time. Close to local shops and, who knows, a nice café, and if possible not too far from Antwerp. We found that combination in this lovely house. From the outside, the house looks quite discreet, but once you step inside, one pleasant surprise awaits you after another. Towards the back, you then also have those very large windows, the nice garden and the large terrace. A bliss to live here!
