Position

Your challenge: A meticulous real estate legal professional with an eye for detail and a practical approach

As a legal adviser, you will strengthen Immodôme’s legal department. You will oversee our property sales files from the moment they are opened through to agreement on the sale contract, and serve as the legal point of contact for our estate agents. With your thorough knowledge of Belgian property law, meticulous approach and clear communication, you will ensure that every file is handled in a structured and legally sound manner.

Your responsibilities

•  You open the property file as soon as you receive the brokerage agreement from the estate agent. You compile the file correctly and collect all legally required information and documents.

•  You contact the seller’s notary and coordinate the preparation and ongoing management of the sales file.

•  You carefully review the documents received, identify legal risks and issues requiring attention, and discuss them clearly with the estate agent concerned.

•  When a sale is agreed, you draft the sale agreement (compromis) or the purchase and sale undertaking. You coordinate its content with the parties involved and obtain their formal agreement.

•  You communicate professionally and clearly with sellers, buyers and notaries, keeping everyone informed of the file’s progress.

•  In the event of disagreements or unforeseen problems, you support the estate agents with practical legal advice and help bring the file to a successful conclusion.

•  You are the estate agents’ point of contact for legal questions, translating complex regulations into clear answers and workable solutions.

Profile

Do you recognize yourself in this?

You are meticulous, organised and attentive to detail. You combine sound legal knowledge with a hands-on approach: you take ownership of files independently and follow them up carefully. As a strong communicator, you explain legal issues clearly and are confident in your legal judgement. Even when guiding clients through complex sales or purchase procedures, you remain calm, focused and solution-oriented. You work autonomously, take responsibility and bring a positive attitude to your interactions with clients and colleagues.

You also have

  •  A completed Master’s degree in law. A post-Master’s qualification in notarial practice would be an advantage.
  •  Knowledge of property law in the Brussels-Capital Region and the Flemish Region.
  • At least six years’ relevant experience working in a notary’s office.
  • A strong command of both Dutch and French. You should also be able to express yourself fluently in English.
